The Innovation Scoring is a tool to assist with national organizations that aims to encourage enterprises to develop innovation in a more systematic, efficient and effective.
The application of this tool should contribute to the strategic thinking of companies or other organizations about their processes of innovation, allowing to know in more detail the different dimensions underlying these processes and identify areas for potential improvement.
Under this system, organizations can diagnose, measure and ask for a more appropriate performance and their potential for innovation.
- Diagnosis of current skills and capabilities of firms.
- Referrals to specific technical advice, looking for partnerships or inventory and selection of financing programs.
- Support the management and internal decision-making, particularly in terms of innovation strategies.
- Recognition and visibility at national (even international) with competitors, partners, suppliers and investors.
- Participation in a community or innovation network for the sharing of "best practices" information and knowledge.
This system also offers the possibility for companies to bid to either the SME Innovation Award COTEC-BPI, with the support of the newspaper want to integrate (or maintenance) in the SME Innovation Network COTEC:
- Award SME Innovation oriented distinction and public recognition of companies that, by its attitude and innovative activity, are examples of value creation for the country.
- SME Innovation Network, which translates into a network of SMEs that cooperate with three main axes of action:
- visibility that follows directly from that individual SMEs to integrate into the network, the public availability of information provided by the companies of the Network;
- establishment of networking between the Associate COTEC Portugal and SMEs in the network;
- support specific phases of growth, particularly in attracting significant investment and support the internationalization.
This system offers the possibility of having business through IAPMEI, privileged access to:
- strategic information, including national and EU legislation, as well as a wide range of specialized services within the Enterprise Europe Network, including:
- brokerage services for technology transfer, identification of business opportunities and participation in initiatives and technological missions within borders and internationally;
- support access to the 7th Framework Programme for Research and Development and other programs for financing R & D.
- personalized business assistance in the formulation of growth strategies;
- coaching for application to the Status SME Excellence - IAPMEI.
